Binding: 18th-century gold-tooled red goatskin;  covers decorated with a zig-zag roll border, an ornament at each corner;  gilt-edged leaves;  marbled endpapers;  green silk bookmark.   Size:  219 x 143 mm.

Annotations: Askew’s note on front flyleaf:  “This Book is so extremely rare that I never saw any other Copy of it, except that of Mons.r de Boze who told me that he gave 650 Livres for it - M.r Smith our Consul at Venice wrote me word that he had purchased a Copy, but that it was imperfect - Lord Oxford offered M.r Mattaire fifty Guineas for this identical Copy.”
