Provenance: William Pickering (1796-1854), bookseller and publisher, London:  lot 933 “Manipulus curatorum (liber qui inscribitur,) one leaf imperfect, Genevae, per Adam Steynschauwer de Schuinfordia, 1480” in Catalogue of the first  portion of the extensive collection of valuable books formed by Mr. William Pickering (London:  Sotheby & Wilkinson, Mar. 1854);  sold for £0.5.6 to the bookseller, William Straker, according to the annotated copy of the Pickering sale catalogue in University of Glasgow Library (shelfmark BD17-h.30).
William Straker (fl. 1810-1854) bookseller, London:  presumably acting as Euing's agent.
William Euing (1788-1874), insurance broker, Glasgow:  Euing’s pencil acquisition note with price code on front flyleaf “24 .3. 54 e/-/ Pickg Sale” and his inventory number “No 75” on front free endpaper.
University of Glasgow:  presented by Euing in 1872 according to University Library bookplate on front pastedown.
Binding: 18th/19th-century light brown goatskin;  covers decorated with a gold-tooled border;  gold-tooled spine;  dark blue endpapers;  gilt-edged leaves;  blue silk bookmark.   Size:  199 x 145 mm.
Leaf size: 192 x 135 mm.
Annotations: Inscription in a 16th/17th-century hand on 1/2r “Constitutiones Synodales Geneuensis dioecesis in fine huius voluminis.” - that text no longer present;  19th-century pencil numbering on same page “96/24”;  19th-century price “1. 11. 6” in pencil on front flyleaf.
Decoration: Initials supplied throughout in crude red and black pen-work, sometimes extending into margin;  chapter headings underlined in red throughout;  capital strokes supplied in red throughout;  many virgules stroked in red;  line-filler in red on 1/2r.
Imperfections: Wanting 15/8 (f. 120) and 28/8 (f. 224) and the blank leaves 1/1 and 30/8;  16/6 (f. 126) torn and repaired, with loss of text.
