Annotations: Copious marginal annotations in two humanist hands in red and black ink, often extracting keywords;  traces of early signatures;  2/2-13/5 (ff. 4-95) foliated erroneously in a 17th-century hand;  the blank leaf 2/1 (f. 3) contains on its recto a full page of notes in Italian on Diodorus Siculus in an 18th-century hand - drawn from Rollin and Vallemont.
Decoration: Seven-line initial "N" on 2/2r (f. 4) supplied in blue with reserved white;  other initials supplied in plain blue or red.
Imperfections: Wanting quire 1, the blank 13/6 (f. 96), and quire 14 (ff. 97-104) containing the Germania of Tacitus.
