Binding: 18th-century gold-tooled red goatskin;  covers decorated with single gold-fillet border embellished at each inner corner with an ornamental design made-up of separate tools and with a lozenge-shaped centre-piece also made-up of separate tools;  gilt-edged leaves;  marbled endpapers;  blue silk bookmark.  Size:  205 x 149 mm.
Leaf size: 200 x 144 mm.
Annotations: Occasional early marginal and interlinear annotations and nota marks, mainly so washed out as to be illegible;  on verso of front free endpaper the number (or date?) ”1618” and the shelf-mark(?) "f5" in pencil.
Decoration: None.
Imperfections: The Petronius only;  wanting quires A-F (i.e. the text of Dio Chrysostomus and the following blank leaf).
