William Euing (1788-1874), insurance broker, Glasgow:  purchased from Knight 22 June 1860 according to Euing’s pencil annotation with price code on verso of front free endpaper  “22.6.60 eb/f Kt”, together with Euing’s pencil inventory number “No. 737” on same page (repeated on A1r) and a superseded inventory number “87”.
University of Glasgow:  presented by Euing in 1872 according to University Library bookplate on front pastedown.
Binding: England, 19th-century grained brown goatskin;  covers decorated with a border of two blind fillets;  gilt spine title;  marbled endpapers;  gilt-edged leaves;  brown silk bookmark;  binder’s stamp “Eedy Binder 37 Tavistock Sq” on verso of front free endpaper.   Size:  293 x 208 mm.
