Provenance: Casale, Lombardy, Dominicans, Conventus S. Dominici:  inscription on F3v of Part VII “est [conven]tus  s[anc]ti d[omi]nici d[e] casali” (repeated several times throughout the volume).
J. Samuel (fl. 1855-1866), bookseller, 41 Great Randolph Street, Camden, London (see William Henry Hodson, 'Hodson’s booksellers, publishers and stationers’ directory for London and country', London:  1855):  sold book to William Euing.
William Euing (1788-1874), insurance broker, Glasgow:  purchased from Samuel 26 Feb. 1866 according to Euing’s pencil acquisition note with price code “26 2 66 Samuel ag/f” on front flyleaf;  Euing’s inventory number “No 2572”  in pencil on front flyleaf and on first printed page.
University of Glasgow:  “presented to College March 1872” according to Euing’s acquisitions inventory (though “1870” on University Library bookplate).
Binding: 19th-century quarter red leather, cloth-covered boards overlaid with red paper, covers decorated with a gold-tooled floral roll border;  gold-tooled spine;  marbled endpapers;  sprinkled red and blue-edged leaves.   Size:  316 x 224 mm.
Leaf size: 308 x 212 mm.
Annotations: Occasional marginal annotations in a 16th-century hand;  heavily faded inscription in large capitals beginning “BENVENVTI EX(?) [...]” at foot of π1r of part I.
