At the foot of q1r is the printed word ‘Iustificacioñ’ from type used for printing the heading on p3r, afterwards distributed and used here as a bearer, but inked in error - cf. BMC. Blind impressions of type visible on numerous leaves.|

William Euing (1788-1874), insurance broker, Glasgow: purchased from Petheram 18 May 1846 according to Euing’s pencil acquisition note “18.5/46 Peth” together with an early Euing inventory number “31” on verso of front free endpaper. [According to Euing’s later acquisitions inventory (University of Glasgow Library MS Euing 49), Euing had a second copy of the Statham, purchased from Thomas Arthur, 14 Aug. 1871. It is no longer in the Euing Collection.]
