John Pearson (late 19th century), private bookseller, 38 Sussex Street, Pimlico, London: sold book to William Euing.
William Euing (1788-1874), insurance broker, Glasgow: purchased from Pearson 18 Feb. 1868 according to Euing’s pencil acquisition note with price code on a2r “18 2 68 Pearson ab/f” together with Euing’s inventory number “No 3556”; source confirmed in Euing’s acquisitions inventory (University of Glasgow Library, MS Euing 49).

Arthur, Catalogus impressorum librorum in Bibliotheca Universitatis Glasguensis, (Glasguae: 1791); a superseded University of Glasgow Library shelfmark “KH.9.15”, which has been transferred in typescript onto the volume’s modern book-plate, suggests that the book probably came into the University Library’s collections sometime in the 19th century.|
