John Mozley Stark (fl. 1851-1888), bookseller, stationer, printer, and publisher, Hull & London:  sold book to William Euing.
William Euing (1788-1874), insurance broker, Glasgow:  purchased from Stark 2 July 1868 according to Euing's pencil acquisition note with price code on 1/2r "2 7 68 Stark ab/" together with his inventory number "No 3745" and earlier inventory number "118";  confirmed in Euing's acquisitions inventory (University of Glasgow Library, MS Euing 49).
University of Glasgow:  presented by Euing in 1872 according to University Library bookplate on front pastedown.
Binding: Scotland, 19th-century brown calf, bevelled edges;  covers decorated with a triple blind-fillet border;  red-edged leaves;  binder's stamp on front pastedown "Bound by R. Nelson".   Size:  305 x 215 mm.
Leaf size: 297 x 200 mm.
Annotations: Marginal and interlinear annotation in an early hand on 5/4r (f. 34r) with one line underlined;  marginal annotation in the same hand on 10/5r (f. 75r);  "Antonij Rambigolis Ord: Eremit: S. Augustini" on 1/2r in a 16th-century hand;  number "2025" at extreme top left hand corner of 1/2r;  code "lk" on 17/8r (f. 130r).
Decoration: Five-line initial "A" on 3/1r (f. 15r) supplied in red and blue with reserved white and with green pen-work infill;  other initials supplied in red or blue, often with reserved white and many with elaborate marginal flourishes;  capital strokes and paragraph marks supplied in red.
Imperfections: Wanting the blank leaf 1/1.
