Binding: Germany, 16th-century quarter blind-tooled pigskin over wooden boards with two brass clasps, decorated with heavily worn foliate rolls and fillets;  manuscript title on paper added to spine at a later date;  leather tabs present on the first and final leaf of the first item in the volume and on leaf a1 of the second item.   Size:  287 x 210 mm.
Leaf size: 272 x 194 mm.
Annotations: Number “2” with overline on title-page [*1r] corresponding to number “1” with overline on title-page of the first item in the volume;  signature v1 (omitted by the printer) supplied in manuscript in an early hand;  marginal annotations and underlining in an early hand in quires x-z;  on front pastedown 19th-century pencil number "120F" and various other pencil marks;  on rear pastedown 19th-century code or initials “vm” and “sm” in pencil together with date “20 III 93”.

Imperfections: Large piece excised from lower margin of title-page [*1].
