Binding: England, 20th-century quarter brown goatskin, marbled paper-covered boards;  rebound by Douglas Cockerell & Son, Aug. 1966 and given new endpapers;  replacing a 17th-century binding of speckled brown calf with a double blind fillet border;  original red-edging of leaves retained;  sample of original covers mounted on rear pastedown;  typescript binder’s note tipped onto rear pastedown.   Size:  271 x 195 mm.
Leaf size: 262 x 189 mm.   Evidence from the untrimmed folded lower corner of S1 and folded upper corner of EE3 shows that the actual leaf dimensions before cropping by an early binder were 285 x 200 mm.
Annotations: Occasional marginal annotations in 15th/16th-century hands;  underlining throughout in red ink in an early hand.
Decoration: None.
Imperfections: Wanting the blank leaf GG8; first and last few leaves damaged.
