Binding: Germany, 19th-century quarter calf, marbled paper sides;  marbled endpapers;  green-edged leaves;  crimson silk bookmark;  remains of an early leather tab on a1.   Size:  200 x 138 mm. 
Leaf size: 194 x 132 mm.
Annotations: Early marginal notes in more than one hand up to leaf e2r;  underlining, manicules and “nota” marks;  letters “m m” in pencil on rear flyleaf;  typographical note on front flyleaf.
Decoration: None.
Imperfections: Wanting sheet d3.4 and the final blank leaf.

Binding: Germany, 19th-century paper boards covered in part of a parchment leaf from a manuscript service book containing the text of Psalm 29: 10-12;  heavily worn paper title label on spine.   Size:  188 x 141 mm.

Annotations: Pencil number “18142” and “Inc”(?) on rear pastedown.
Decoration: None.
Imperfections: Wanting the final blank leaf;  one large wormhole throughout - with loss of several letters on each page.
