John Ferguson (1837-1916), Professor of Chemistry, University of Glasgow:  pencil acquisition note on front pastedown “John Ferguson May 17 1900” and Ferguson’s pencil note of his supplier on rear pastedown “Voynich”;  additional pencil note by Ferguson on front pastedown “Everything comes to him who can wait (when he knows what he is waiting for.)   This gives me all M. Scot’s books wh. were printed.”
