Note:	As in the two BMC copies, corrections of misprints in the words “aquilíno” (line 1) and “meōris” (line 8) on [a1v] (leaf [1v]) are present in this copy and were probably made by the printer.
Provenance:	Metz, Lorraine, Celestine Monastery (suppressed 1774):  inscription on final blank page 4/10v (f.34v) “Celestinor[um] de Metis N. 6”. Louis-Léon-Félicité, duc de Brancas de Lauraguais (1733-1824):  lot 46 in Guillaume de Bure, 'Catalogue d’une collection de livres choisis, provenans du cabinet de M***' (Paris: 1770). William Hunter (1718-1783), physician and anatomist: purchased by Hunter at the Brancas de Lauraguais sale through his agent, Peter Molini, for 36 livres 19 sous; see Molini’s bill to Hunter (University of Glasgow Library, Hunter Papers H214). University of Glasgow:  Hunterian bequest, 1807;  Hunterian Museum bookplate on front pastedown, with former shelfmark “Ag.10.25”.
Binding:	France, 18th-century red goatskin decorated with triple gold fillets, a small gold fleuron at each corner; gold-tooled spine;  marbled endpapers;  gilt-edged leaves;  blue silk bookmark.   Size: 194 x 131 mm.
Leaf size:	188 x 126 mm.
Annotations:	Quires numbered "1"-"4" in an early hand.  Note by T. F. Dibdin (1776-1847) on front flyleaf:  "This edition is unknown to me ... see B.S. vol. 1 184".
Decoration:	Initials supplied in red throughout (with occasional pen-flourishing), one initial supplied in black;  paragraph marks supplied in red throughout and capital strokes in faded yellow.
