Influencing People

Influencing people is a key skill in building and maintaining relationships, engaging with others to affect change and achieve results.

The aim of this full day course is to appreciate and understand how to effectively influence other people. This vital area will be explored so that participants have an awareness of their own influencing style and take away several approaches that they can use to achieve positive outcomes and enhance relationships.

This course involves pre-course reading and/or work which you should be able to complete in around 30-60 minutes.

Target Audience:  

This workshop may be of interest to those who need to get results with and through people and want to enhance their influencing skills.

The workshop will focus on:

  • identifying your influencing style and understand the strength that it brings to relationships and how to use it effectively to influence others
  • exploring different influencing strategies and examine when and how to adapt your style to use each effectively
  • creating an influence map, identifying stakeholders and relationships that you may have to influence and appreciate their perspective to achieve positive outcomes
  • being aware of various negotiation approaches to achieve a positive result and build relationships
