Head Of Events
Dr Anna Mackenzie
Dr Anna Mackenzie is Head of Events, leading the fabulous External Relations Events Team. Her role includes setting strategic direction, creating opportunities for cross-institutional sharing of best practice, and oversight of all reputation and recruitment events and activities organised by the team.
Anna has extensive events leadership experience across several universities and joined Team UofG in July 2025 from Lancaster University. She has led national and international events for a variety of audiences, including the wider public, government delegations, VIP stakeholders, conference delegates, alumni, donors, and graduating students across the UK and overseas in China, Germany, Ghana and Malaysia.

Senior Events Officer - Reputation
Laura Wishart
Laura Wishart is the Senior Events Officer within the University of Glasgow’s External Relations Events team. She manages planning and delivery of reputational events - including lectures, alumni engagement events, and conferences - working closely with her colleague, Katie Mackenzie.

Senior Events Officer - Student Recruitment
Kerry Christison
Kerry is the Senior Events Officer for Student Recruitment, leading the planning and delivery of central prospective student events, including undergraduate Open Days and postgraduate recruitment events. Her role focuses on shaping engaging experiences that support prospective students in exploring the University and making informed decisions about studying at Glasgow.
She works closely with Colleges, Professional Services and teams across External Relations to deliver impactful on campus and online events, creating opportunities for prospective students to connect with the University community.

Events Coordinator
Katie Mackenzie
Katie is an Events Coordinator with extensive experience delivering high‑quality corporate, academic, and international events. She specialises in stakeholder engagement, event logistics, and hybrid event technology, ensuring seamless experiences from initial planning through to final delivery.
In her role, Katie manages end‑to‑end event coordination, including budgeting, supplier management, communications, and on‑site delivery. She works closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver impactful and engaging events.
