While many items are on display across our venues – the Hunterian Museum, Hunterian Zoology Museum, Hunterian Art Gallery and the iconic Mackintosh House – this special event offers a rare behind the scenes look at some of the fascinating items not currently on public display.

Join us in Kelvin Hall this Doors Open Day to explore some highlights from our stored collections. Discover curious and surprising items that tell extraordinary stories!

Tours and Tickets

Tours will last 30 minutes and will begin at 12.00pm, 12.45pm and 1.30pm.

Each tour has a limited capacity, please only reserve a ticket if you are able to attend.

If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket or contact us via hunterian-events@glasgow.ac.uk so we can offer space to other visitors.


Venue Information

This session will take place in The Hunterian Collections' stores at Kelvin Hall. Please meet in the reception area of Kelvin Hall.

Food and drink are not allowed in the stores, and bags and coats will need to be stored away. We will have free locker space available for you to safely leave your belongings.
