The Mackintosh House is a careful reassemblage of the main rooms from the Glasgow home of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh.
The artists and designers, whose work is now world famous, designed their distinctive home together. It was remarkable then, and now, for the disciplined austerity of the furnishings and decoration.

Tour and Ticket Information
Tickets are £20, which includes entry to the Mackintosh House and guided tour. Under 18s go free.
Tours last 45 minutes. Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to put personal items in lockers.
Bag Policy
Bags are not permitted in the Mackintosh House. We have plenty of free locker space for you to safely store your bags away – please arrive a few minutes early to do so.
Venue and Access
The Mackintosh House is part of the Hunterian Art Gallery, located on Hillhead Street beside the University of Glasgow Library.
The Mackintosh House is over four levels with 62 steps. The floors can only be accessed by stairs.
