Unfinished Business - 25 Years of Devolution
In their new book Unfinished Business, Henry McLeish and Professor James Mitchell dissect the record of the first 25 years of devolution and, ahead of the Scottish elections in 2026, set out their ideas on how to improve Scottish democracy over the coming decade. It examines successes as well as failures but concludes that while Scotland has talked a great game on its “progressive values”, real change has proven to be elusive.
