How does carbon shape our lives—and the lives of others across time and place?

In this thought-provoking workshop, you are invited to explore the impact of carbon through drama, storytelling and creative reflections. Using real-life imagery and group activities, we will step into the shoes of different people whose lives are shaped by carbon: from coal miners to commuters, farmers, activists, and beyond. Participants will devise tableaux (freeze frames), explore in-character reflections, and co-create a collaborative artwork – drawing and writing their own “Reflections on Carbon”.

This workshop is interactive and imaginative, blending role play, group discussion, and hands-on creation. No prior drama experience is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to take part!

This workshop is for adults aged 16+
