Join us for a hands-on DNA bracelet-making workshop where science and creativity unite! Discover how the building blocks of life shape who we are in a fun and interactive way!
What to expect:
- Learn about the structure of DNA, its role in life, and the University of Glasgow’s contributions to DNA research and discovery.
- Build a bracelet using beads that represent DNA base pairs and discover how the patterns of bases make us who we are.
- Explore Mutations – Discover how changes in genetic sequences can lead to different traits, like hair or eye colour.
- Interactive Learning – The activity will be delivered in a workshop with plenty of opportunities for questions and discussions.
Who Can Join?
- This workshop is designed for children 8+ and their parents/guardians, making it a fantastic family-friendly experience. No prior science knowledge is needed – just curiosity and creativity!
