This year marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of William Thomson, Lord Kelvin, one of the University's most distinguished scientists and engineers.
The College of Science and Engineering honours Kelvin with a symposium on 26 June, the day of his birth. The symposum features talks on topics connecting Kelvin's leagcy to the challenges we face today, focussing on communications, measurements, chirality, thermodynamics and data science.
