Alumnus writes short play for major national arts project

Alumnus Andy Edwards (MLitt 2015) has written a short play, titled ‘Happy Ark Day’ as part of major Scottish arts project ‘Scenes for Survival’. The play, previously screened on BBC Scotland, is a modern-day reimagining of the classic Noah’s ark story.

Andy wrote the piece as part of ‘Scenes for Survival’, a season of short digital artworks produced by the National Theatre of Scotland in association with BBC Scotland and Screen Scotland, amongst other creative bodies.

Speaking about the project, which brings together creatives from across the nation, Andy said,

It’s a privilege to share space with this fantastic group of Scotland’s writers. Theatre and its stories are places to breathe, spaces to anchor. I hope these scenes might do something similar”.
