Improving the ecological health of the River Clyde, 7.20pm to 7.40pm
Dr William Yeomans is Director of the Clyde River Foundation. An organisation dedicated to improving scientific understanding of the ecological health of the River Clyde and its tributaries, drive environmental improvements across the catchment and build capacity for its stewardship. He will share how this has been achieved through e.g. long-term monitoring programmes and habitat surveys.
He will also give some insights into their education and community engagement programmes. Such as the incredibly popular primary school initiative, Clyde in the Classroom. Where pupils care for brown trout, before they are released into the wild.
