Glasgow Science Festival 2026

Visit an ancient forest in Victoria Park and discover stories of climate change and industrial heritage. Fossil Grove is a unique Earth heritage site with 11 fossil tree stumps, dating back to the Carboniferous Period some 325 million-years ago, that are preserved in the position in which they grew. The Geological Society of Glasgow and the Fossil Grove Trust will be on hand to discuss the trees and their preservation, deliver tours and provide various children's activities.
