In partnership with POLART, come along to this special CinemARC screening of 2+2=5 , a documentary which uses George Orwell's life, work and legacy to examine the rising appeal of authoritarian rule and the societal conditions which enable it.

2+2=5 | 2025 | Dir. Raoul Peck | 119"

"Who controls the past controls the future: who controls the present controls the past..."

George Orwell was one of the most visionary authors of the 20th Century, whose novels, 1984 and Animal Farm foretold a chilling, authoritarian future. Acclaimed director Raoul Peck interweaves clips, readings from Orwell's diary, cinematic references, and modern-day footage to craft not only a portrait of the write, but a fresh take on how prophetic his work has become.
