Japanese film screening: Sumo-do (The Successors of Samurai)
Japanese film screening event includes cultural lecture, sumo demonstration from Sumo Scotland, film screening and reception with Japanese snacks and drinks. Film: Sumodo~The Successors of Samurai~ Japan's first sumo documentary movie. The Sumo wrestlers, who weigh more than 150 kg, clash each other without any armours. This is a documentary film that chased after sumo wrestlers who dedicated their lives to sumo, such as severe rituals, spiritual trainings, fellowships, and a fight for life. The event is in collaboration with the Consulate General of Japan in Edinburgh and The Japan Foundation.

The reception is limited to those aged 18 and over, and those under 18 must be accompanied by someone aged 18 or over. If you are only attending the movie, all ages are welcome.
