Sustainability Salon: The issues with EVs - continued
Join us for the second Sustainability Salon on the issues surrounding electric vehicles (EVs).
Sustainability Salon
Date: Wednesday 29 October 2025
Time: 14:00 - 17:00
Venue: Sir Alwyn Williams Building, 18 Lilybank Gardens, Room 423
Category: Conferences, Public lectures, Academic events, Alumni events, Staff workshops and seminars
This in-person event invites you to take part in open, engaging discussions and share your thoughts on this important topic. You’ll connect with people from a range of backgrounds, each bringing different perspectives, expertise, and levels of access.
The conversation around EVs is changing. The second-hand market shows hesitation around battery life. Home charging remains a challenge for many, and cost continues to be a barrier for wider adoption.
Should the alternatives to electric cars be scrutinised more closely? Is there a way to address the shortcomings of the public transport network? Are there questions you want to ask that seem to be ignored? Please come along and highlight issues or solutions you feel should be part of the conversation.
This event is supported by the EPSRC IAA. Projects that arise from these salons may be eligible for funding to turn new connections into real-world impact.
Please book your place via the Eventbrite link.
