As part of our commitment to helping UofG alumni make the most of graduate opportunities in China we have partnered with the University of Birmingham and JOBShaigui, a leading graduate career support organisation, to provide UofG alumni with tailored career opportunities.

Shanghai Alumni Employability Networking event, Saturday 11 October 2025

Alumni are invited to the Shanghai Overseas Returnee Career Fair, a dedicated platform connecting employers with highly qualified overseas graduates returning to China. Since its launch in 2015, it has successfully connected over 7,000+ enterprises with 350,000+ returnee job seekers across 19 editions. 

This year’s fair elevates standards with premium, high-end, precision-matched services to optimise talent-employer alignment. Comprehensive support includes career coaching, role matching, and end-to-end assistance, bridging top enterprises with exceptional returnee talent effectively. The Fair will run from 9.00am – 4.00pm.

The Fair will be followed by an exclusive evening networking reception for alumni of Glasgow and Birmingham who graduated in 2023, 2024 and 2025, in the same venue, from 5.00pm – 8.30pm.

Alumni will have the opportunity to:

  • Connect directly with top employers
  • Get industry insights from an expert employer panel
