The Centre for Research and Development in Adult and Lifelong Learning and the School of Education, University of Glasgow are hosting a celebration event marking the Waste Stories from New College Lanarkshire exhibition that is currently on show in the St Andrews Building.
We will welcome students and staff from NCLAN to the exhibition and to celebrate their creativity. It will also feature the first public reading of an original story by award-winning poet and author Ron Butlin.
The exhibition features work from visual arts students at New College Lanarkshire, produced in collaboration with the University of Glasgow’s Waste Stories project. Waste and wasteful production and consumption are among the biggest sustainability challenges; Waste Stories uses multimodal participatory creative fiction to help people see and think about waste differently. In this part of the project, students from 5 different classes produced visual and plastic arts that tell their own Waste Story.
Please join us in the Level 5 Gallery Space and Student Common Room of the St Andrews Building, University of Glasgow. Soft drinks and nibbles will be provided. No booking required, but please note: in the interests of minimising waste, we are asking everyone to bring their own cup/mug.
