In Professor David Archibald’s inaugural lecture, he will be joined on stage by Glasgow group The Tenementals in a performance which explores the relationship between art and history.

The Tenementals are a group of artists, academics and musicians who are currently recording a series of songs which recount the history of Glasgow. In seven songs and seven theses, David and the band will offer fragments from a radical history of a radical city presented in radical form.

The event is also the launch night for ‘A Passion Flower’s Lament’, the first single from the band’s debut album, which will be released on Strength in Numbers Records.
