CELTIC CONNECTIONS X UOFG PRESENTS:

Rachel Hair & Friends

This event is part of Celtic Connections 2024 and is a special partnership with University of Glasgow's Music in the University programme. Bookings for this partnership series are made here through Eventbrite rather than through the central Celtic Connections booking system.

Rachel Hair - Harp
Ron Jappy - Guitar
with Joy Dunlop - special guest vocals

"A superb Highland Harper" (BBC Radio 2) Rachel Hair is ranked of the world's most top celtic harp players and is in constant demand globally as both a performer and tutor. Performing with her long term musical duo partner, guitarist Ron Jappy, they twin Scotland’s most ancient instrument with it’s newest as they showcase music from their 2023 duo album Élan, an album full of style, panache and good trad tunes! They’ll be joined by their good friend, the award winning Gaelic Singer Joy Dunlop and there will even be a rare chance to hear Rachel perform solo. A great opportunity to see these world class artists in the late afternoon before visiting other Celtic Connections evening events.
