Before moving into polar advocacy, she worked with the WWF marine team on fisheries management across the UK and the EU, with a particular focus on the post-Brexit UK and devolved fisheries legislation.

Prior to joining WWF, Rhona worked for the Scottish Government in their Marine Conservation team, with responsibility for the development of the Scottish marine protected areas network. Rhona started her career at sea as a scientific fisheries observer on Scottish whitefish and scientific research vessels.

Rhona graduated from the University of Glasgow with a BSc (Hons) in Marine and Freshwater Biology and also holds a MSc in Aquatic Ecosystem management from Edinburgh Napier University.
