This event will allow attendees the chance to meet with various academic publishers, allowing you the chance to ask questions about:
- what type of educational scholarship they specialise in publishing
- submission requirements and selection criteria
- typical timelines
- common mistakes and pitfalls for prospective authors
You can meet editors and organisers from a variety of journals and conferences where you might think about publishing any scholarship you’ve undertaken around your teaching, including:
o The Journal of Perspectives in Applied Academic Practice (JPAAP)
o Higher Education Pedagogies
o The Improving University Teaching (IUT) Conference
o The Enhancing Student Learning Through Innovative Scholarship (ESLTIS) Conference
o The International Journal of Doctoral Studies (IJDS)
There will be a brief introduction from each journal at the start of the session but feel free to join us at any point and stay as long as you wish.
Tea and coffee will be available.
Please note that these CPD workshops are only open to University of Glasgow staff (including Graduate Teaching Assistants / Demonstrators). Colleagues from validated institutions are, however, welcome to attend sessions delivered by invited external speakers.
