Join the Principal, Chancellor and University staff at Commemoration Day - the annual celebration of the founding of the University of Glasgow.

Commemoration Day is one of the most important dates in the University's calendar as we remember our benefactors and confer Honorary Degrees upon internationally distinguished men and women.

The format for the day is as follows:

  • 9.45am Service for the Commemoration of Benefactors in the University Chapel
  • 11.00am Graduation Ceremony for the conferment of Honorary Degrees in the Bute Hall
  • 1.00pm for 1.15pm Commemoration Day Lunch in the Hunter Halls (£35 per person)

As there are limited places available, tickets will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. You can register for the different elements of Commemoration Day here.
