Short Description

In an increasingly globalised world, people are often involved in intercultural activities, which may include travelling or migration, or studying alongside international students or managing international staff without travelling. Beyond these more obvious examples of interculturality, cultural items (from film and TV to museum objects and literature) travel and can open up access to different cultures, both nearby and faraway. Students taking this course will critically reflect on how their own experience is affected by intercultural movement, applying relevant theories from intercultural communication and cultural studies to texts and experiences.
