Written project report - 70% (covers all ILOs) (word count to specific journal requirement)
Supervisor report, including assessment of professional behaviour - 25% (covers all ILOs)
Critical reflection of how project work has met AfN core competencies and standards - 5% (ILO4) (300-500 words)
Course Aims
To provide students with the skills to be able to plan and execute an independent nutrition research project in the area of Clinical Nutrition and present and discuss its findings.
Intended Learning Outcomes of Course
On completion of this course students will be able to:
1. Critically design and execute a research project, including an evaluation of the literature, in the area of clinical nutrition.
2. Organise and present research reports, critically discussing limitations contributions to current knowledge.
3. Plan and manage time effectively by prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
4. Critically reflect on which AfN core competencies and standards have been met by this piece of work.
