Short Description

Through a range of elective options this course offers the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge in education. It integrates enquiry-based approaches to enhance and enrich learning and teaching in the primary classroom while deepening disciplinary, pedagogical or interdisciplinary insights.

Course Aims

The course aims to deepen areas of specialisation for educators, enriching and enhancing their subject knowledge while developing their knowledge and understanding of practitioner enquiry.

Intended Learning Outcomes of Course

By the end of this course students will be able to:

1. Apply appropriate methods to identify and use relevant research to inform understanding of a particular area of education.

2. Explore and analyse significant issues, current theory, research, policy and practice related to an aspect of education.
