To introduce students to the central concepts in the philosophy of education which are used in discussion about education in contemporary society in general and religious education specifically.

Intended Learning Outcomes of Course

Students should: be able to comprehend and to reflect on ideas about or conceptions of religious education, denominational schools and civic education; be able to relate ideas about or conceptions of religious education, denominational schools and civic education with ideas about our contemporary society.
