Short Description

This course equips students with the skills to translate MedTech innovations into market-ready solutions within today's complex healthcare landscape. Learners will develop strategies to identify market opportunities, prepare value propositions, and tailor marketing approaches to the regulatory and ethical demands of the MedTech sector.

Through expert guest lectures, case studies, and hands-on exercises, students will create go-to-market strategies that connect product innovation with commercial success. By the end of the course, students will be able to drive the adoption of MedTech solutions that are both clinically relevant and commercially viable.

Course Aims

This course equips learners with strategic thinking skills essential for the commercialization of healthcare technologies, while enhancing their ability to design and validate commercialization pathways, and value propositions that respond to the dynamic needs of the healthcare sector. It fosters a comprehensive understanding of funding mechanisms, reimbursement pathways, and market access strategies critical to successful innovation deployment.

Intended Learning Outcomes of Course

By the end of this course students will be able to:

1. Critically evaluate funding landscapes and financing options available to MedTech innovations globally.

2. Critically appraise reimbursement strategies that demonstrate value proposition to payers, incorporating health economic evidence and regulatory requirements.

3. Design commercialization pathways that integrate regulatory approval strategies, reimbursement considerations and funding mechanisms to support market entry and growth.
