Accelerated Level 5 Maths provides a solid grounding in the key areas of mathematics required for academic and career progression for pre-undergraduate learners.

Course Aims

The aim of this course is to develop students' core mathematical knowledge and reasoning skills, to enable progression to degree programmes requiring SCQF Level 5 Maths, or to more advanced mathematical study.

Intended Learning Outcomes of Course

By the end of this course students will be able to:

• Select and apply skills in numeracy, algebra, geometry, trigonometry and statistics

• Employ mathematical reasoning skills to interpret information, select appropriate strategies to solve problems, and communicate solutions
