Short Description
The course will introduce the latest research topics in Fintech to students and allow them to engage with contemporary research design frameworks of Fintech in the field of Finance.

Course Aims
The overall aim of the course is to introduce students to the latest trends in Fintech research, to the latest related academic papers and the related methodologies. After completing the course, students should be able to identify a Fintech project, position it within the contemporary trends of FinTech research, recognize the prerequisites for completing it and evaluate how it can lead to a viable FinTech business model.
Intended Learning Outcomes of Course
By the end of this course students will be able to:
1. Critically discuss the latest trends in Fintech research.
2. Assess and appraise the areas of application of Fintech in Finance research.
3. Explore FinTech business models and critically discuss FinTech research addressing contemporary industry problems
4. Design a Fintech specific research methodology.
5. Design and conduct research on an original Fintech topic.
Minimum Requirement for Award of Credits
Students must submit at least 75% by weight of the components of the course's summative assessment.
