Lunasonic wins support from Water Discovery Challenge

University of Glasgow chemists are set to advance their research into how sound waves can remove harmful pollutants from drinking water after being named as a finalist in a national funding competition. The Lunasonic project, based at the School of Chemistry, has received £100,000 from Ofwat’s Water Discovery Challenge to support their research in sonochemistry, a technique which uses focused beams of ultrasound to drive chemical reactions.
