Emeritus Professor Paul McMenamin awarded a member of the order of Australia in the 2023 honours list

Professor Paul McMenamin is the the former Director of the Centre for Human Anatomy Education at Monash University and also headed up the Ocular Immunology group in the Department of Anatomy and Developmental Biology until his retirement in 2020.

Alumnus Professor Paul McMenamin (BSc 1978, PhD 1982,DSc 2010) has been recognised for significant service to tertiary medical education. 

Professor Paul McMenamin is the former Director of the Centre for Human Anatomy Education at Monash University and also headed up the Ocular Immunology group in the Department of Anatomy and Developmental Biology until his retirement in 2020.

The Australia Day 2023 Honours List recognises and celebrates 1,047 recipients for meritorious, distinguished and conspicuous service. Recipients come from right across the country and from all walks of life. While some are well-known, the majority are unsung heroes. While typically they haven’t sought thanks or recognition, they deserve both. The Honours and Awards system gives the nation a chance to celebrate and acknowledge those who work tirelessly to improve local communities and to make Australia a better place.
