The IPP aims to establish a pool of highly skilled postgraduate talents in Singapore

Period: A 2-year MSc (by research) and 4-year PhD programme

Location: Singapore, with an annual visit to the University of Glasgow

The Industrial Postgraduate Programme (IPP) is sponsored by the Singapore Economic Development Board. 

The benefits of the programme are:
• Earn a salary while pursuing your postgraduate degree (PhD and MSc by Research programmes available).
• Joint supervision by world leading experts from The University of Glasgow and the industry.
• Areas of research span across Engineering & Computing Science focusing on:
o Healthcare
o Sustainability
o Smart City
o Smart Manufacturing

Sponsorship from the Singapore Economic Development Board includes:
• Fixed monthly allowance of S$3,500, as long as the trainee earns a basic monthly salary of at least S$4,000.
• 100% support of the postgraduate (PhD or MSc by Research) tuition fees published by the university.
• 50% support of research grant funding for project, capped at S$50,000 for PhD and S$25,000 for MSc by Research.


Eligibility:
• The trainee must be a Singaporean or Singapore PR. He/She must be an employee of the company.
• The company (either local or multinational) is registered and physically present in Singapore.
• Research activities / projects should be aligned with one of the four RIE domains:
o Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering
o Health & Biomedical Sciences
o Urban Solutions & Sustainability
o Services & Digital Economy
