Biography

Since November 2022, I have been working in the Research Services Directorate, as part of the Research Culture and Researcher Developer team, leading on the pilot of the Scottish hub of The British Academy Early Career Researcher Network. I am excited about fostering new opportunities for researchers to collaborate and further their professional development. I am especially interested in supporting partnerships between academic researchers and cultural heritage organisations. I welcome enquiries about the network and am happy to advise on and support researcher-led projects.

I am also a Cultural Historian focused on the history of art, design, dress and architecture. I have particular expertise on the life and work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh. I am a research affiliate in History of Art and supervise students in the Dress & Textile Histories MLitt; and also teach Short Courses in art, architecture and design history.
