We would like to welcome Shiva Murugan Sukumar to the School of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Health.
"I am joining SCMH as a PhD student working under the supervision of Prof Pardeep Jhund and Dr Ross Campbell in 2023. My project is testing a novel non-invasive device that can remotely monitor pulmonary congestion in patients with Heart Failure. Congest-HF-EX will begin recruitment in 2023 at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Prior to starting this post I was a Cardiology Registrar in training with East Midlands South deanery and was based at the Glenfield hospital, Leicester. Stepping out of clinical training at the beginning of the year, I have been a staff at the University of Glasgow working as a Clinical Research Fellow. I completed my Internal Medicine Training in East of England prior to starting my Cardiology Training and hold an MRCP (UK)."
