Thomas Scott Blackadder Scholarship
Thomas Scott Blackadder graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1947 with an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and was, from 1963-1994, the CEO of Diamond Power Specialty Ltd. The Blackadder family have a prominent history in the field of engineering in central Scotland.
We are honoured to introduce the Thomas Scott Blackadder Scholarship created to support 1 Mechanical Engineering student in need of financial support.
In order to be eligible you must:
- Be a national of USA or Canada
- Have International fee status
- Hold an offer of study for the BEng/MEng Mechanical Engineering programme commencing in September 2026
- Demonstrate excellent academic achievement before starting University:
- Qualifications already achieved: students holding the following A Level/IB (or local equivalent) grades
- Qualification not yet achieved: students predicted, or who achieve, the following A Level/IB (or local equivalent) grades, the scholarship may be withdrawn if final exam results do not meet the grades outlined below.
