Karimjee Conservation Scholarships
Karimjee Conservation Scholarships
The Karimjee Foundation offers two Karimjee Conservation Scholarships each year for Tanzanian nationals. The scholarship covers all fees and a living allowance (stipend) for studies while in Glasgow and for the additional year in Tanzania, including funds for an extended research project.
Tanzanian students who wish to be considered for this scholarship should apply to the programme through the University of Glasgow application portal (green ‘Apply Now’ button).
In your application please include a 1-2 page original personal statement. This statement is a critical component of the application process. The statement should include a vision of your future role in the fields of conservation/ecology, including influences and experiences shaping that vision. Be sure to highlight examples of leadership, and describe how the MSc programme and the extended internship year in Tanzania help you achieve this vision.
Please note: all applications will be processed by the University. If you meet the entry requirement for the University of Glasgow, you will receive standard email messages confirming receipt of your application and the outcome of your entry into the programme (e.g. conditional offer, unconditional offer etc). If you meet the requirements for the Karimjee Conservation Scholarship, we will review your application in early 2026 and decide whether to invite you to the interview of short-listed candidates.
