Former MSc Enhanced Practice in Education student, Natalie Gallacher, has had an article based on her recent dissertation research published in the AHDS union’s professional magazine, Head to Head. Natalie’s MSc dissertation was based on a documentary research project into middle-leadership in Scottish primary schools, supervised by Stephen Scholes. Natalie’s article summarises the main findings for a professional audience. Natalie’s work has highlighted the need for an ongoing focus on middle leadership in the primary sector and the important issues surrounding professional learning, teaching commitments and the need to clearly define Principal Teacher and Depute Head Teacher remits in smaller schools.

Well done Natalie from the Education Team at the School of Interdisciplinary Studies.
